韩国推迟推出第四大移动运营商的计划

据韩国时报报道，由于缺乏有经济实力的合格竞标人导致此前的努力毫无进展，韩国的科学部、计算机技术部以及未来规划部已决定推迟在国内推出第四大运营商的计划。该部门想要建立第四大运营商以加强运营商之间的竞争降低价格，因此自2010年已经开放了7次投标系统。目前三大运营商是SK电信、KT和LG U+。
今年1月份，政府部门选不了第七次竞标结果，有三家公司递交了竞标申请。然而这三家公司没有一家获得资格，政府部门的理由是竞标者的资金募集计划缺乏可信度及持续性。
行业一个观察者指出，政府部门没有必要再去培植新的移动运营商，因为移动虚拟运营商的崛起已经为用户提供了新的资费套餐选择。

The South Korean Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning has decided to postpone the launch of another mobile carrier in the country, after its previous attempts made no headway due to the lack of financially qualified bidders, the Korea Times reported. The ministry has since 2010 opened bidding seven times with the aim of setting up a new mobile carrier, opening up competition and lowering subscription prices. The company is currently dominated by SK Telecom, KT and LG Uplus.
In January, the ministry announced the result of the seventh bid for the programme, where three companies filed applications. There were no winners, as the ministry said all candidates "lacked credibility and viability for their fund-raising plans."
Industry watchers also pointed out the government no longer needs to allow another mobile carrier, as the rise of mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs) already provide users with budget subscription plans.

慧聪国际公布2005年财报 亏损2475万港元
